The 430th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, assigned to the 474th Fighter-Bomber Group of the United States Air Force, was deployed during the Korean War, where it operated the Republic F-84 Thunderjet in ground-attack and close air support missions.

Operating from bases in Korea and Japan, the squadron carried out strikes against enemy supply lines, infrastructure, and troop concentrations, playing a key role in interdiction operations throughout the conflict.

In addition to its combat missions, the squadron was also responsible for escorting high-value aircraft operating in the theater.
